Frequently asked questions
How do I use the park and ride?
Find a parking space and park your car or cycle free of charge. A cycle rack is behind the building at London Road and cycle lockers can be found beside the terminal building at Martlesham.
There are marked family and disabled parking spaces with wider bays near the terminal buildings.
Wait in the terminal building for the next bus. The terminal houses a heated waiting area, information points and toilets/baby change facilities.
Purchase your ticket from the bus driver or the supervisor at either site. If you need to top up your smartcard please visit the supervisor's office.
Both sites and all the buses are fully accessible for wheelchair users.
What if I return late or apart from a group?
For return journeys after 7.00pm, other bus services operate close to both sites but you may need to pay a fare if it is not an Ipswich Buses service.
Service 13 operated by Ipswich Buses operates from Tower Ramparts bus station to Tesco, near to the London Road site and is free for holders of Park and Ride tickets.
The car park exits at both the sites are open 24 hours a day.
Please note that due to parking regulations no overnight parking is permitted.
