Helping people get about
Drive your community is a campaign to encourage volunteers to help those unable to travel by conventional public transport, through location or mobility impairment, to get out and about. Transport in the form of private cars or supplied minibuses is available to take people to and from doctor appointments, social, sports or community centres, shopping and visiting friends and relatives, linking with conventional public transport services or many other types of journey within Suffolk.
The campaign is managed by Suffolk Volunteering Federation, a federation of 21 organisations committed to promoting and improving volunteering in Suffolk and is supported by Suffolk County Council.
