March bus service changes

Please find below brief details of forthcoming changes to passenger transport services in Suffolk. The changes have been summarised as it is not practical to record every change, however, if you require more detail please click on the service number to view a copy of the new timetable.

100/ 495/ 497 498	Harleston - Ipswich	The 100 service will still be operated by Simond’s however the 495 / 497 / 498 will be run by Waylands	28/03/2010
534	Beccles – Brampton – Southwold	The service has been renumbered 523/524 with a revised timetable	28/03/2010
91	Ipswich – Hadleigh – Sudbury	Revised timetable, additional time has been allowed between Sudbury and Ipswich, the 8.02 service that used to run between Hadleigh to Sudbury has now been extended to start in Ipswich at 07.30	29/03/2010
118	Otley College – Ipswich	A new school day only service replacing Anglian Bus and Coach, departing Otley College at 16.40 and arriving at Ipswich Rail Station at 17.01	29/03/2010
118/119	Ipswich – Otley – Framlingham Ipswich – Earl Soham – Framlingham	This service will provide an improved service and will largely be operated commercially by Far East Travel between Ipswich and Framlingham, however sections of the route between Framlingham, Laxfield, Stradbroke and Saxmundham will be replaced by 481/482 services. Many connections can be made at Framlingham.	29/03/2010
165	Ipswich – Rendlesham – Snape – Leiston – Aldeburgh	This service is being improved with the frequency increased to an hourly service. Most journeys will operate directly between Snape and Aldeburgh	29/03/2010
236	Sudbury – Clare – Haverhill	Weekdays 10.45, 11.45 and 12.45 extended to run to Clare & return from Clare instead of Glemsford. Saturdays operate separate timetable Sudbury to Clare only	29/03/2010
357	Bury St Edmunds – Red Lodge – Newmarket	This is a new sponsored service operated by Burtons. The New Hundred Acre Way in Red Lodge will have its first Bus Service.	29/03/2010
521	Halesworth – Saxmundham – Aldeburgh	A new service which has been extended to Aldeburgh from Leiston including a new timetable and the withdrawal of the Beccles to Halesworth section of the journey.	29/03/2010
521	Aldeburgh – Halesworth	New journey departing Aldeburgh at 16.50 and arriving at Saxons way, Halesworth at 17.40. The service operates Monday – Saturday	29/03/2010
521	Leiston – Saxmundham	New service departing Leiston Main Street at 11.00 arriving at Saxmundham Rail Station at 11.21.	29/03/2010
522	Halesworth – Beccles	This is a new 2 hourly service, between Halesworth and Beccles and it replaces a section of the 521 service.	29/03/2010
523 /524	Beccles – Southwold	This is a new service replacing the 533 and 534.	29/03/2010
520	Halesworth – Southwold	This runs approximately every 2 hours and replaces part of the former 601 service between Southwold and Halesworth. Connections with rail and other bus services towards Lowestoft, Ipswich and James Paget Hospital are possible.	29/03/2010
481	Saxmundham – Framlingham – Laxfield	A new service with connections possible at Framlingham for Ipswich and Laxfield for services to and from Diss	29/03/2010
481	Saxmundham _ Framlingham	A new School day only service commencing from Saxmundham Middle School at 15.20 and arriving at Framlingham at 15.56, then departing Thomas Mills High School at 16.00 arriving at Saxmundham Rail Station at 16.45	29/03/2010
482	Laxfield – Hoxne – Diss	The route has been extended to Laxfield from Stradbroke and there has been amendments to the timetable. Connections are possible at Diss, Laxfield and Framlingham with trains and buses for Norwich and Ipswich.	29/03/2010
601 / 601A	Southwold – Lowestoft – Yarmouth Southwold – Bungay School	The route has been amended, there is no longer the Halesworth to Southwold part of the journey. The journey starts at Southwold Pier and is extended to Great Yarmouth.
608	Kessingland – Lowestoft – Yarmouth	Amendment to the route and timetable, all but one journey operates between Kessingland and Great Yarmouth	29/03/2010
