List of approved transport suppliers
Suffolk County Council maintain a List of those operators who have expressed an interest in carrying out or continuing to carry out journeys organised by the Council. That List is regularly reviewed and updated.
Those operators seeking to be included in the List are required to complete an application form/questionnaire and to provide certain information for consideration by the Council. This form will include a Quality Assessment that will establish a Quality Score for the forthcoming year and this will be used when assessing subsequent tender submissions. It is a requirement at each review of the List that existing Contractors whose Contract work is ongoing into the next period, must complete the appropriate application form/questionnaire and satisfy the Council that they continue to meet the Council’s requirements for staying on the List.
A copy of an application form/questionnaire will either be provided on request or forwarded routinely at the end of the previous assessment. For the avoidance of doubt Operators must ensure that they have a current assessment form completed. That form must be completed and submitted to the Council in accordance with the instructions given at the time and by any deadline date that has been set. The application form can also be supplied to new operators at the time of the tender documents being issued to allow them to bid in that tender round.
The Council reserves the right to reassess the quality score given to an operator at any time where there is believed to be a change to the circumstances of the company. Similarly where there is a change in circumstance an operator may request a review of their quality score.
