Endeavour Card, Scheme Now Ceased
Status update:
The Endeavour Card scheme has now ceased. The card stopped operating on 31 October 2025 and can no longer be used for discounted 16-19 travel or Park and Ride journeys. This applies to both the standard Endeavour Card and the Endeavour Park and Ride card.
From 1 November 2025, Endeavour Cards are no longer valid as a flash pass or as a method of payment for bus travel.
Why the Endeavour Card Has Ended
The Endeavour Card was introduced nearly 15 years ago to ensure young people aged 16-19 could access reduced bus fares at a time when operator discount schemes were limited. Since then, bus operators across Suffolk have introduced their own discount offers for young people and Park and Ride users.
Usage of the Endeavour Card has steadily declined over the last five years, with significantly fewer applications being made. In addition, most operator led schemes now match or improve on the Endeavour Card discount and offer better value options such as weekly or monthly tickets.
The Government £3 fare cap scheme, previously £2, has also reduced the need for the Endeavour Card, as no additional discount could be applied to fares already capped. This scheme is currently set to continue until at least March 2027.
Refunds for Remaining Credit
If you held a 16-19 Endeavour Card with a positive balance after 31 July 2025 and did not use all remaining credit by 31 October 2025, you can now request a refund.
Refund requests must be made between 1 and 30 November 2025.
To request a refund:
- Log in to your Endeavour Card account and check your balance
- Email endeavourcard@suffolk.gov.uk
- Include the name on the card, card number and account number
Refunds will be credited to the payment card used for the most recent top up. If your card details have changed, you must provide bank details so that an alternative payment method can be arranged.
Once a refund is issued, the Endeavour Card will be automatically cancelled.
Park and Ride Endeavour Cards are not eligible for refunds, as journeys were sold in non-refundable bundles of ten. Any unused journeys expired on 31 October 2025.
